In order to safeguard the interests of the complainants, complaints filed through the ADDS ‘internal complaints mechanism are treated confidentially, unless the complainant has requested otherwise. Complaints for which the complainant waives his right to confidentiality are published with the findings of the ADDS Complaints Office on the Agency’s website.

Complaints files may contain personal information about the complainant or a third party. The processing of personal data by ADDS is governed by Regulation (EC) No 45/2001. In the case of complainants who have waived their right to confidentiality, it is understood that for the purposes of Article 5 (d) of Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 they consent to the ADDS Publicly processes any personal data that may be included in their complaint.

Access to any information related to a complaint is subject to the provisions of the Agency’s Disclosure Policy.
