Week of the National Solidarity: The point with … Zahra Youssouf Kayad Secretary of State for National Solidarity

Fight against malnutrition
Last Thursday the chief town of the region of Obock, Secretary of State for National Solidarity Zahra Youssouf Kayad, made an intervention in the context of the celebration of the week of national solidarity. An allocation in which it raised the stakes in the fight against malnutrition. She also paid tribute to the courage and self-denial more than a thousand obockoises mothers take turns to sensitize their respective entourages on the importance of ownership of good nutritional practices in improving the welfare of children, pregnant or nursing women.
“Leveraging social gains”
More than 1,000 women attended assiduously awareness sessions in nutritional learning home for more than 15 months.

Today, mothers have distinguished achievements and positive behaviors adopted in the areas of infant feeding, monitoring of child growth mainly through health center dating, vaccination monitoring etc …
This award attests to the effectiveness of community-based prevention project in the popularization of positive nutritional practices. Now we will have to capitalize on these social gains to break the intergenerational cycle of malnutrition.
On this occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations to all the “light mothers” distinguished but all 1037 mothers participating in the nutrition home in Obock.
It is close to my heart to highlight the efforts of the volunteer mothers who devote part of their time to educate the community on the nutritional component of the project of social safety nets.
I congratulate them for the courage and tenacity they demonstrate in the context of the implementation of this program.
