As part of the launch of the activities of the training project for young people in entrepreneurship led jointly by the Djiboutian Social Development Agency (ADDS) and the Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (CLE), the president of the commune of Boulaos Mohamed Omar Ismail, on Thursday July 16, welcomed in his office located in the 2nd arrondissement, the head of this project, Ide Mohamed Abdillahi, the CLE project monitoring manager, Abdoulfatah Sahal Souleiman accompanied by a micro-enterprise expert in this case, Abdoulatif Mohamed Abdillahi. For these various executives of ADDS and CLE, it is a question of setting up in this district the training project for young people in entrepreneurship (FORJE), financed by the European Union. Indeed, with the arrival on the labor market of an increasingly educated and innovative young population, it is necessary to promote new strategies allowing young people to create their jobs and to contribute positively to the economy and to the society.

As part of this project, ADDS and CLE executives will first provide a 2-month training course, focusing on entrepreneurship, before submitting a business plan competition to participants. The most innovative and economically viable micro-projects, carried out by young people at the end of this training, will therefore be funded. This training aims, according to the designers of this project, to have a balance between young boys and girls (50% of the participants of each).

“It will encourage the participation of young people who have already received vocational training through other projects or programs,” said project monitoring manager Abdoulfatah Sahal Souleiman. Project leader Ide Mohamed Abdillahi subsequently gave his interlocutors details regarding the eligibility of beneficiaries of this training. “The candidate must reside in one of the different districts of the municipality, be between 18 and 37 years old, not be in a situation of training or regular apprenticeship currently, interested in the development of income-generating activity in a group , be willing to seriously follow the entire training, be of Djiboutian nationality, be exempt from a certain legal action and know how to read and write, ”he told the various officials of the town seated at his side.

Taking into account the limited number of young people in each training cycle (150 young people per CDC, grouped by section of 30 young people), a selection process will be put in place according to the executives responsible for this project in order to decide between the young people, in case the number of eligible places exceeds the number of places available. Recall that the draw to select the beneficiaries of the training of this project began Tuesday, July 21 and takes place in the various community development centers (CDC) of the districts of the municipality of Boulaos.
