The Djiboutian Social Development Agency (ADDS) sent a team of experts on Sunday (July 23rd) to the chief town of the Ali-Sabieh region. Visitors were given an orientation session on ADDS activities. The meeting was held at the Ali-Sabieh Regional Council. The opportunity for the director in charge of social development within the ADDS to expose the projects that are being carried out in the region assajog.

He spoke about the project to support socio-economic infrastructure development and the promotion of economic activities in the regions (PARISER). This includes various components. These include the construction of a training and empowerment center for women, the construction of several stalls, and the establishment of a drinking water supply network.

The ADDS, its supervisory ministry, and the government want to improve the living conditions of the population but also promote the inclusion of vulnerable groups and gender equality. The project to promote youth employment and handicrafts (PROPEJA), funded by the Japan Social Development Fund and administered by the World Bank, was also discussed. The main thrusts of this project revolve around offers of training courses on entrepreneurship, the promotion of crafts, and the financing of income-generating activities.

In a completely different way, ADDS sensitizers explained the merits of the refugee response project in the Horn of Africa. With areas of intervention the localities of Holl-Holl and Ali Addeh, it is necessary to specify.
