Twenty women completed last Wednesday training for several months on the nutrition of newborns and good dietary practices Adaïlou village in the region of Tadjourah . And it brilliantly to the satisfaction of the Director General of the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS ) , Djama Mahdi Mohamed , President of the Regional Council of Tadjourah , Hussein Hassan Omar , the officials of the Ministry of Health and volunteers EVA who respectively presented certificates in the hands of learners association.

They were last Wednesday subject of attention in the village of Adaïlou area Tadjourah . They , it is the twenty mothers of Adaïlou who completed several months of training on nutrition for newborns and good eating habits .

The stars of the day received certificates from the hands of general manager of the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS ) , Djama Mahdi Mohamed , President of the Regional Council of Tadjourah , Omar Hassan Hussein , heads of decentralized services of the Ministry of Health and leaders EVA association.

Thus , learners have completed modules on community promotion and development of young children . They were also the target audience awareness sessions about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and the medical care of pregnant women in the home .

The objective of this bias is to establish an important preventive health and nutritional education very sharp at pregnant and lactating women, children 0-2 years, according to the Director General of ADDS. The man took the opportunity to congratulate the teams from the Ministry of Health, which have played an important role throughout this training for pioneering mothers Adaïlou .

Incidentally, the initiative is part of the program of social safety nets, implemented by the State Secretariat for National Solidarity to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations.

For this purpose , the Republic of Djibouti is the beneficiary of a grant from the Japanese government issued through the World Bank to provide a rapid response to problems related to lack of income. And this must be added through the creation of jobs daily and offering assistance to vulnerable people in the rebuilding of human capital.

Concretely , the project of social safety nets includes work intensive labor, generating revenues that vulnerable households will get the pangs of poverty.

These public works are the pickups of plastic bags and other non-biodegradable products that are exchanged against cash or food rations , and rehabilitation of urban public infrastructure .

The choice of this multidimensional approach is relevant in the context of the fight against poverty. The strategy calls for optimum involvement of communities in setting priorities for work intensive labor ( LI ) and monitoring following the funding limits for each project area.
