Prevention of child and maternal malnutrition: The facilitators trained Balbala

A training workshop on the prevention of child and maternal malnutrition was closed on Monday for the Social Action Center for the Empowerment of Women (CASAF), located in the town of Balbala. Twenty mothers, from the Bache area have benefited from this training was facilitated by experts from the Ministry of Health.

A training workshop on the prevention of child and maternal malnutrition ended last Monday to social action center for the Empowerment of Women (CASAF), located in the town of Balbala.

Over a period of 2 days, these meetings were held there by the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS) in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

The target audience was composed of about twenty girls facilitators and counselors mothers, representative of the fairer sex of Bache Balbala quarter.

The one and the others followed the modules of this training session, led by professionals from the Ministry of Health. They were able to integrate the causes of the delay in the growth of the child during the first year after birth and the consequences of poor nutritional status in women during the pregnancy period.

This shows the interest of this program who enjoys the financial support of the Government of Japan and the World Bank. This is to prevent its instigators through this child and maternal malnutrition but also to promote breastfeeding.
