Secretary of State in charge of National Solidarity , Zahra Youssouf Kayad , with the Minister of Health, Issack Osman Kassim , extended Sunday program nets the chief town of Obock region. With term the objective is to remove the vulnerable sections of the local population in the throes of poverty.

At the head of a large delegation , the Secretary of State in charge of National Solidarity, Zahra Youssouf Kayad , visited last Sunday in Obock region. She was especially accompanied by the Minister of Health , Dr. Osman Kassim Issack , the resident representative of WHO in Djibouti , Dr. Rayana Bou- Haka , and the Director General of the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS ) Mahdi Mohamed Djama , during this movement .

Upon arrival at the Obock Regional Council , Departmental procession received a warm welcome from the local authorities and a obockoise crowd, composed of young and old alike.

Without delay , the Secretary of State in charge of National Solidarity officially launched the program of social safety nets that target vulnerable segments of the population obockoise locally. The first to rejoice was the prefect of the region, Hassan Ahmed Dabaleh .

In a statement made on the spot, the state representative said the start of work on this project the comforts obockois . Especially since the initiative shows some interest that the government places on the well – being and social and economic progress of the various components of the national community .

He also highlighted the awareness ahead of the local population on the scope of the program of social safety nets. A participatory approach that is in his eyes a big step forward in the realization of the national social protection strategy to fight harder against poverty and insecurity in parts of the country .

Abundant in this sense, the Minister of Health referred to the efforts and sacrifices made by the government to minimize the risks of a social divide . Dr. Osman Kassim Issack then recalled the purpose of this pilot program is to improve the nutrition and the fight against infant morbidity and mortality , and thus support the poor. We find the same optimism in the words of Secretary of State in charge of National Solidarity .

Well versed in the subject, Ms. Zahra Youssouf Kayad was immediately noted that the project of social safety nets , implemented jointly by the ADDS and local authorities , is funded by the World Bank.

According to him, it is the creation of employment opportunities through support services and work -intensive labor in Obock region and elsewhere in the country where the need arises. Good considering the effects of recurrent drought weaken further vulnerable .

Woman heart and belief, the Secretary of State in charge of National Solidarity obockois assured of the government’s commitment to implement the terms and measures aimed at directly supporting the purchasing power , income and better access of the poor to basic social services .

It is for Zahra Youssouf Kayad soften in this way the lives of people destitute and unable , either temporarily or permanently to raise revenue but also to mobilize the people and influence the key factors to nutritionally .

When there is still time to avoid damaging the human capital while reducing underemployment chronic active little or no qualifications. All is said and almost on social safety nets.

In conclusion, the Secretary of State for Solidarity encouraged families targets of the program to participate in briefings and awareness and register later. His message , it seems , had its effect with the obockoise population. Since many people in the city of Hayu has flocked to the registration centers that have visited the passage of the ministerial delegation .
