The primary mission of our agency is to achieve the objectives of the National Social Development Initiative (INDS), launched in 2007 by the Djiboutian Head of State, which is based on the principle of national solidarity.

More than a concept, national solidarity remains a value dear to Djiboutians. Better still, it continues to inspire the presidential social project. The President of the Republic, Mr Ismail Omar Guelleh himself, reaffirmed it forcefully during the celebration of the first national day of solidarity (January 12, 2008). “We will do everything so that our vulnerable compatriots escape poverty and precariousness and flourish in their everyday lives” declared the Head of State in essence in his speech.

Such remarks raise for us the pledge of a real foundation that maintains the hope that poverty can be eradicated. We support the development of our country through actions in favor of the population and this assistance seems to us today the only way capable of freeing our people from this inequality which has continued to widen in recent years, on the one hand strong growth and on the other impoverishment of the population. Good housing, good sleep, good food, this is what allows human beings to be well educated, to contribute well to the building of their society.
