As part of the Emergency Social Protection and Food Crisis Response Project, implemented by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity with funding from the World Bank, young people from the Dikhil region (city of unity) celebrated the end of their training course yesterday.

On this occasion, an official certificate presentation ceremony was organized by the Djiboutian Agency for Social Development (ADDS), in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFOP).
The event was attended by the Deputy Prefect of the region, the President of the Regional Council, the Regional Director of Education, the Director of Social Development, as well as local elected officials and the graduates’ parents.
Nearly 70 young people received their certificates of completion in several key fields with high employment potential, including electricity, mechanics, forklift operation, refrigeration and air conditioning, and driver’s licenses.
In their remarks, the authorities unanimously congratulated the graduates for their commitment and perseverance. They emphasized the importance of this training in strengthening young people’s employability and their sustainable integration into the workforce.
These training programs are fully aligned with the promotion of human capital, a key driver of socio-economic development, and reflect the ongoing commitment of ADDS and its partners to youth empowerment.
The ceremony concluded in a convivial atmosphere with the official presentation of certificates, followed by a group photo of all participants.
Through this initiative, ADDS reaffirms its determination to continue its work in developing human capital and improving the living conditions of the population.
