Project of Social Safety Nets in Adaïlou – Progress

At the head of a large delegation , the Secretary of State in charge of National Solidarity, Zahra Youssouf Kayad , moved last Wednesday, October 30 to the village of Adaïlou area Tadjourah where she enjoyed the status of the project of social safety nets. A social protection program which is funded by a grant from Japan and administered by the World Bank.

The State Secretary for National Solidarity, Zahra Youssouf Kayad , visited last Wednesday, October 30 in the town of Adaïlou , lying north of the country. And accompanied by a large delegation of Djibouti Social Development Agency which included the Director General, Mohamed Mahdi Djama , and the Director of Social Development , Dirieh Farah Souldan . The villagers of Adaïlou have warmly welcomed the procession of the visiting brand since its arrival on site.

After a mini walkabout, the Secretary of State for National Solidarity began an inspection tour of projects executed by the ADDS in the project of social safety nets.

In doing so, Ms. Zahra Youssouf Kayad has seen first hand the conditions for completion of construction waste pit , ramparts protective lens retention and rehabilitation of drinking and driving tracks.

Progress also the development of public spaces and garbage collection that are part of the social protection program of NSIS . After visiting the sites, the Secretary of State made ​​a detour at home Women Adaïlou .

She explained to the female audience at the scene different areas of project intervention of social safety nets that are intended in line with the priorities of the national response against child and maternal malnutrition.

She then had a consultation meeting with the traditional notables who submitted a series of complaints to the pressing needs of the village Adaïlou in educational, health and community structures . Zahra Youssouf Kayad took note .

She assured his interlocutors that his ministry and the government will spare no efforts to meet the needs of the inhabitants of the town of Adaïlou . Anyway, she said to the wise men of this village the relevance of social protection program of NSIS , funded by a grant from Japan and administered by the World Bank.

Which is based on a participatory approach and create jobs for the disabled through the arm works intensive labor and improve ordinary young children , pregnant women and aims to lactating mothers Adaïlou and surrounding communities as Guiroui , Gawa , and Essalou Assaguela .
