Mothers counselors trained in the use of micronutrient “Tayo”

In the framework of the fight against maternal and child malnutrition, Djibouti Agency for Social Development ended yesterday UNFD a recycling workshop for counselors and facilitators mothers on prevention of maternal and child malnutrition based Community .

Sixty counselors mothers were trained in preventing maternal and child malnutrition. The workshop was closed yesterday in the presence of the coordinator of “malnutrition” program ADDS Muna Ahmed Farah, the coordinator of the social safety net project at UNFD , Fatuma Moussa and project manager “fight against malnutrition” UNFD , Roukia Yusuf Ali.

Program to fight against maternal and child malnutrition is funded by the World Bank and executed by the ADDS in collaboration with UNFD .

This workshop two days together 58 women from five regions and the capital. Thus, during the two days of work , the facilitators mothers were trained on the use of micronutrient called ” TAYO ” for babies of 0-2 years.

As explained Ms. Roukia Youssouf Ali , head of the fight against malnutrition program , the main objective of the workshop was ” to train counselors and facilitators mothers on the use of micronutrient Tayo ” ” for these help other mothers in their lives and their neighborhoods .”

” Doses ” ” Tayo help maintain a good micronutrient status for the child ,” Has she précisé.Ces mothers are now authorized to provide advice on the micronutrient and Prevention health of the mother, the child of 0-2 years and pregnant women , concluded Roukia Youssouf.
