Capacity building of associations : Damerjog in tune

A closing ceremony of training took place last Sunday at the headquarters of the antenna UNFD to Damerjog . The event was marked by the issuance of certificates to participants of local associations that are better equipped to participate in the social and economic development in the region of Arta .

The Director General of the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS ) , Mahdi Mohamed Djama , sponsored Sunday closing ceremony training headquarters antenna UNFD to Damerjog . The event saw the participation of the sub- prefect of the region of Arta , Waberi Osman Elmi , the elected local Chekib Abdi Nur , the director in charge of social development in the ADDS Dirieh Souldan Farah , customary leaders, and community leaders . Note also the presence at the scene of trainers from the ranks of the Association ADESC4 who led the July 11 to 19 last modules on capacity building of associations

This reunion was an opportunity for each other to recognize the relevance of the training program of the ADDS that enjoys financial support from the African Development Bank ( ADB). The program in question involves the identification and upgrading of community structures in the interior regions . This is clear to its instigators strengthen through this structural and institutional capacities of local associations .

Locality Damerjog has therefore put in tune with the know -how ADESC4 which identified priorities very active associations in the field before the form in organizing associative structure and financial management of funds mobilized for local development. Better equipped , Damerjog learners are asked to design and manage development projects that meet the needs of the inhabitants of the region . Enough detail emphasizes the participatory approach to program ADDS involving target populations renewed dynamism of the local economy in the Arta region.

After the end of the training session , the Director -General made ​​ADDS immersion among the block from Damerjog . In doing so, Mahdi Mohamed Djama witnessing firsthand the progress of community-based work in the fight against malnutrition.

Funded by the International Agency of Japan or JICA its acronym cooperation , this project is aimed at vulnerable groups.

Included in this case children and pregnant or lactating women. The objective of this bias is to create temporary jobs, generating revenue through which mothers of Damerjog can buy commodities to have a good supply and secure the health of the child.
