ADDS: Solar lamps to illuminate the obock’s nights

The Director General of the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS) inaugurated last Sunday of solar street lights in the chief town of Obock region. And much to the relief of local personalities and simple anonymous who see favorably the emergence of these modern street lighting in their living environment.

The Director General of the Djibouti Social Development Agency, Mahdi Mohamed Djama, and several members of his technical staff went to the chief town of Obock region.

The movement fell within the framework of the extension of social development activities of the delegated work.

The purpose of this visit was twofold. Indeed, it was part of a meeting of validation for micro associative structures Obock, and secondly to make the groundbreaking solar street lights in the city of Hayu.

Arrive in the early morning of Sunday, the delegation led by its ADDS CEO had a working meeting in the conference room of the Regional Council, with the steering committee of social micro.

At this meeting, it was mainly a question of validating micro palette from the local associations. Of the 13 selected projects that were submitted to anonymous voting, 4 were validated after consultation.

In the evening of the same day, the Director General of the ADDS conducted the groundbreaking solar street lights in the city of Obock.

The event was attended by the Prefect of the region, Hassan Dabaleh Ahmed, President of the Regional Council, Ali Hassan Houmed, customary leaders, leaders of associations and a host of local residents.

The inaugural ceremony of the lamps has raised the enthusiasm of local personalities and simple anonymous who see favorably the emergence of the modern public lighting in their living means.

In short, the commissioning of solar street lights is timely to illuminate obockoises nights.
