ABD grants food aid to one million dollars to the Yemeni refugees

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has granted Monday a food aid worth one million Yemeni refugees in the camp of Markazi refugee in Obock, north of Djibouti.
This food aid consists of sacks of rice, sugar, flour, cooking oil cans, pasta and tomato dishes, was distributed dice Tuesday, May 24, 2016 to Yemeni refugees National Office assistance to refugees and victims (ONARS) and the Djibouti Agency for social development.
More than 2,600 Yemeni refugees, mostly women and children, who fled fighting in Yemen live in this markazi camp since March 2015.
Besides ADB, other organizations bring since the conflict began in this country a very significant support by Yemeni families.
This is the example that assists WFP to 3 million people each month in Yemen, including the displaced and vulnerable families in host communities.
WFP plans to reach even, by the end of 2016, one million beneficiaries with the famous food stamps.
The UN says 7.6 million people in Yemen suffer from severe food insecurity – a level of need that requires an emergency, an outdoor food assistance
