The hospitality school of Arta hosted Wednesday a graduation ceremony of training in support of twenty girls from the region of Arta and Wéa.

Seventeen girls have thus completed this training lasting 6 months in hotels and restaurants.
The certificate awarding ceremony was attended by the prefect of the region, the Regional Chair, the Director General of ADDS and the headmaster of the school. The hotel Arta became a school under the Ministry of Education since 2006 and is called “School of Hospitality Arta” offering learning the hotel and catering trade.
The training was jointly organized by the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFOP) and ADDS with the financial support of the African Development Bank (ADB).
This project is realized within the PREPUD (urban poverty reduction project in Djibouti). It is aligned with the priorities of the national response against social exclusion. The project targets school youth unemployment in the town of Arta.
The main objective of this training is to enable young people to acquire the necessary qualifications for the exercise of a trade or professional activity on the one hand, and secondly to promote the social reintegration of learners in the labor market.
