For better management of cooperatives

The Ministry of Women and Family yesterday launched a 2-day workshop on the management of cooperatives, yesterday at the Social Action Center for the Empowerment of Women (CASAF), located in Balbala. Jointly organized with the UNDP, this training session is funded by USAID and intended for executives of the State Secretariat for Social Affairs, the Djiboutian Agency for Social Development (ADDS) and the Ministry of Women and Family. The 2-day training session is led by a Djiboutian consultant, Raho Ali Ahmed. These studious gatherings gather on the spot executives from the respective ranks of the State Secretariat for Social Affairs, the ADDS, the MFF, and the facilitators of the gender offices in the regions of the interior.

The objective of this training is to train learners in cooperative management. It is then up to them to accompany and support the various women’s associations in rural areas of our country that are destined to become cooperatives. This is a project supported financially by USAID and technically by UNDP. So much the better since cooperatives provide education, training and information for their members to make their lives easier. They contribute to the development of the community by getting involved in the implementation of community projects such as school construction, roads.
