The Solidarity Caravan continues its work in Obock. After its first stop in Alaili Dadah, the Solidarity Caravan continued its journey to Obock, confirming the government’s commitment to local engagement in strengthening social protection and territorial inclusion.
This stop was marked by a series of significant inaugurations, illustrating the commitment to consolidating the long-term presence of social services in the region. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity (MASS) local distribution center , along with its administrative offices, the administrative building of the Djiboutian Agency for Social Development (ADDS) , and the main MASS social services office in Obock were inaugurated. These facilities enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of social programs, directly benefiting local populations.
Furthermore, the Minister of Social Affairs and Solidarity presided over another ceremony in Obock dedicated to women’s empowerment, a key pillar of the national social development strategy. At this event, official accreditations were presented to community management committees, while certificates were awarded to affinity-based mutual aid groups, recognizing their central role in promoting solidarity, economic independence, and social cohesion.
Through these initiatives, the Solidarity Caravan reaffirms the government’s commitment to bringing social services closer to citizens, strengthening community capacities, and placing women’s empowerment at the heart of social protection policies, particularly in the interior regions.
