PREPUD Ali Sabieh: For better integration of young unemployed

As part of its urban poverty reduction program in the five regions of the country with support from the African Development Bank, ADDS conducted last Monday at a graduation ceremony at the school of engineering Ali- Sabieh, organized by the Association ALDJ to 20 young in addition to the 60 young people from the region of Ali Sabieh who have benefited from this support .. the ceremony was attended by the deputy prefect of the region Houmed Mohamed Abass, President of the regional Council, Mr. Omar Ahmed Waiss, the headmaster of the Technical High School, Mr. Abdoulkader Yusuf Farah, the Director General of the ADDS, Mahdi Mohamed Djama, the President of the ALDJ Association (fight against juvenile delinquency association), Mr. Houssein Ahmed Ragueh.
Over a period of six months, the different formations are mainly, maintenance, electricity, building finishing, plumbing and crafts.
This project is realized within the PREPUD (The urban poverty reduction project in Djibouti) with the aim of fighting against exclusion and unemployment by equipping beneficiaries. The project targets young educated unemployed and target reintegration integrating young people into the labor market and participation in the fight against youth poverty school.
The goal is to promote the educational, cultural, athletic young people by setting up boosting youth activities on the development of the path to create optimism can infuse regional dynamism.
The main objective of this training is firstly, to enable young people to acquire the skills necessary for the exercise of a trade or profession and, secondly, to fight against unemployment, exclusion and poverty.
Financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB), the project is part of the urban poverty reduction program in the five regions within the country.
The expected results are the achievement of the millennium goals in the long term, reducing the gap between regions and Djibouti city in the medium term through improved access to quality urban services and microfinance and a local initiatives funding mechanism available.
