ADDS / BAD – projects to improve living conditions

In the context of the fight against poverty, Djibouti Social Development Agency organized last Saturday in Arta a consultation meeting with the committees of the Arta region , financing micro carrier associations . Financed by the African Development Bank and implemented by the ADDS , these focus on the fight against unemployment and precarious micro , concern relearning of-school youth and vocational training.

The Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS ) sponsored last Saturday in Arta a meeting with the committee of the prefecture of Arta and the Regional Council on the implementation of a project financing micro carrier associations .

At this meeting , the Arta regional committee has submitted ADDS a list of 12 associations of micro carriers for the Agency validates credible.

These micro- initiated ADDS , aim to combat precarious school youth and to support vulnerable households .

This event was attended by the prefect of Arta Atteyeh Wais Boo , the Regional Chair , Omar Djama Odowa , the Director General of the ADDS Mahdi Mohamed Djama , the Director of Social Development , Dirieh Farah Souldan and members of the prefecture and the regional council.

The Director of Social Development ADDS in a brief speech highlighted the urgent need to work together (population, prefecture and regional council ) to improve the living conditions of local populations. ” In terms of ADDS , it will bring its expertise to the success of these projects has ” he said.

At this meeting last Saturday , several associations of the Arta region , unveiled some interesting proposals such as training in sewing and embroidery for girls , training of electricians buildings but also the Fisheries Training and cooking, etc. .

Finally before closing the work of this meeting , the Chairman of the Arta regional council , saying “satisfied” projects initiated by the ADDS , expressed hope that these micro create jobs in Arta .
