PROPEJA: Place the draw of beneficiaries

The Djiboutian Social Development Agency (ADDS) proceeded from 17 to 19 April 2016 at the launch of the phase of the draw for the beneficiaries of the beneficiaries of target areas of Ward 5, Layableh, Pk 12, Hayableh and Mosquito / Warabaley project PROPEJA. The launching ceremony was held on Monday at the premises of the private school “Waberi School of English” at the district Layabaley.

The Djiboutian Social Development Agency (ADDS) held Monday, April 18 last a draw for beneficiaries PROPEJA project. The initiative took place in the premises of the private school “Waberi School of English” at the district Layabaley. It is within the scope of activities of youth employment promotion project and handicrafts.
Which is initiated by the ADDS under the leadership of the State Secretariat for National Solidarity. It is financed by the Japanese Fund for Social Development and administered by the World Bank. This draw will select 192 beneficiaries for the first training cycle respecting gender-based equality. Other draws will be held in the chief towns of Arta, Ali Sabieh and Tadjourah.
A second printing is planned to select 128 other recipients to be on standby and will be given priority to attend the second round of training list.
Regarding young unselected for this first cycle, they can retry their chances through the next sweepstakes planned throughout the project.
At € 2,730 million US dollars, the project aims to improve the accessibility of youth and women in income generation and employment opportunities and this, through training, coaching, and that financial support for the implementation of income-generating activities. The project has various components.
Include basic training on entrepreneurship, a combination of micro and support for women artisans in the field of production up to the field of marketing.
Eventually, in 2200 young people will be trained in the field of entrepreneurship through a training guide developed by the team responsible for the project. About 1,200 developers groups will benefit from seed funding following the validation of the regional committee.
Also, 800 women will receive training and financial assistance to improve their value chain. Indeed, the project includes training on the design and colors, the allocation of funds for making handicrafts. The project will also support women with a view to marketing their products on the market.
The two components are intended to provide some solutions to human, social and financial constraints so that young people and women have access to income generation opportunities.
