“Social safety nets Project” Ms. Kayad and mothers-lights of Dikhil

The conference room of the Regional Council Dikhil was last Wednesday the theater an event dedicated to women ” Lights ” of this country . These lights mothers are mothers who have successfully completed the implementation of the program of social net .

For six months , they work on the ground in the implementation of the program of “learning centers ” initiated by the ADDS. They , these are mothers with which visited last Wednesday Secretary of State for National Solidarity, Zahra Youssouf Kayad to honor during a ceremony in the presence of Dikhil prefect Mohamed Cheiko and regional Chair . Note that in addition, local MPs and the Director of Culture, M.Osman Boo , took part in the ceremony.
During the ceremony , gifts were given to the “mothers lights .” Recall that the integrated social safety net funded by the World Bank program is implemented for 6 months Dikhil . It combines a component of the program ” High Intensity Manpower ” ( HLI ) and a program to promote the growth of community-based child based on the principles of social inclusion and includes key interventions essential nutrition.
In this context, at the national level , eight hundred women currently involved in the nutritional community-based learning focus of which 240 involved in labor-based activities .
This approach to learning focus is sustainable because it not only contributes to behavior change families, but also to change the perception of malnutrition in the community and the ability of it to change the situation.
Six months after its launch , counselors mothers were able to manage the program ADDS their told . According to the initiators of the program , it demonstrates adherence Dikhiloises and after the chief , the program will be continued in the areas of Yoboki , and Mouloud Have eyla .
According to officials who coordinate the project in this region, the distinction of these 70 mothers for a Positive Deviance is a milestone in the life of the social safety net project. Secretary of State , the prefect of the region as well as the director of the Social Development Agency held to acknowledge and pay tribute to these women who have distinguished themselves .
Note that this program counselors mothers who have devoted part of their time to mobilize and sensitize the community are not employed but are there to educate other mothers to fight together against malnutrition and ignorance.
