The Djiboutian Social Development Agency (ADDS) in close collaboration with TIKA sponsored last Tuesday at the launch, construction work on a central market in the town of Mouloud, sub-prefecture of the Dikhil region. The ceremony of laying the first stone brought together the prefect of Dikhil, M, Aden Darar Moussa, the president of the regional council, Abdourahman Yonis Arreh, the director general of ADDS, Mahdi Mohamed Djama, the president of the development committee of Mouloud, M, Mohamoud Robleh Dabar and the director of the Turkish agency TIKA, Mr. Kutluhan Yucel.
The population of the locality of Mouloud warmly welcomed the delegation led by the director of the Djiboutian social development agency Mahdi Mohamed Djama in partnership with the Turkish cooperation agency, TIKA.

The launch ceremony for the construction of the market saw the participation of local parliamentarians and local elected officials from the region.

Indeed, this project was funded by TIKA with technical support from ADDS and will at the same time be named after the first mouloud butcher to exercise this profession, the late “Assoweh Iyeh Hassan”. In addition, this central market will contribute to social development and allow the local population to sell fresh meats and other food products for the good of the sub-prefecture and in strict compliance with hygienic conditions. This project is part of the process of improving the social and community living environment undertaken by the Djiboutian social development agency in collaboration with regional authorities and local populations in interior regions.
At the end of this day, the Chairman of the Development Committee of Mouloud Mr. Mohamoud Robleh Dabar warmly thanked the authorities of the Dikhil region and in particular the director of TIKA and the director general of ADDS for their technical support. and financial.

He also recalled that this project will contribute to the economic activities of the locality “Remember that Mouloud went from a butcher in the 80s to 12 butchers in 2020 who carry out this activity daily. This testifies to the development of this activity in a locality known for its potential in agriculture and breeding. “

For his part, the director of the Tika agency indicated that “this project is of capital importance for the population for the following reason: to create a space for the sale of fresh meat and other food products to diversify the potential of the economic development of mouloud. “

For his part, ADDS director Mahdi Mohamed Djama reminded his guests of the importance of the TIKA-funded project which will contribute to the economic development of the locality in the future, he said.

He also thanked the director of this agency, the prefect of the Dikhil region and the president of the Mouloud development committee for facilitating this flagship project for the locality.

Then the delegation closed its visit to inspect the various projects carried out by ADDS for the town of Mouloud.
