Dikhil region: The NSIS promotes access to basic social services

The construction of family ecological toilets must allow access to sanitation of the local people. This equipment will protect the environment and water in addition to the improvement of hygiene and health of beneficiaries.
A delegation of the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS), led by its Director General, Mohamed Djama Mahdi, visited last Tuesday in Yoboki Dikhil in the region. The delegation led by the Director General was warmly welcomed by the locals.
The Director of the ADDS M.Mahdi Mohamed Djama and his close associates have participated in a ceremony of presentation of certificates to 30 young women who followed with sewing success training for 6 months.
Implementation by the ADDS under the leadership of the State Secretariat for National Solidarity in the capitals of the interior regions, the training aimed to enable young women to acquire the skills necessary for the exercise of a trade or generating activity returned and the fight against unemployment, exclusion and poverty.
This training program was funded by the African Development Bank to the tune of three million CFA francs by the African Development Bank (ADB) under the poverty reduction program.
The trainers recruited by Yoboki women’s association are most commend in this process of transmission of skills and acquisition of knowledge. Also, the director of ADDS and his collaborators were able to see firsthand the realization of the three reservoirs of water construction project located in different area of ​​the city Yoboki.
Later, the procession moved to the village of Kissalou where 6 latrines were installed. 300 people will benefit from these latrines are separated for men and women in different parts of the village.
A local association, which received funding from the bottom of community development, built the 6 latrines.

It was then the turn of the town of As Eyla received the Director of the ADDS that could realize the project of rehabilitation of wells and the rehabilitation of the distribution network of drinking water of the village and a fire hydrant, complete with fitting accessories with a minimum of 6 taps. Incidentally, the Dikhil region has a community development fund (CDF) as part of the proposed reduction of urban and rural poverty.
