Park equipment OVD: The FFDJ begin repair work

At a cost of 6 million euros, or about 1.3 billion CFA francs, the park refurbishment project to the hardware of the Office of Highways Djibouti (OVD) will last 36 months. The partners each bring substantial contributions to the implementation of the successive stages of the project. This project is an outstanding example of cooperation between France and Djibouti.
Last Sunday, the French forces stationed in Djibouti (FFDJ) with the engineering works section of the support of the 5th Regiment 6ecompagnie Interarmes Overseas (5th RIAOM) started earthworks to repair the park equipment the Office of Highways Djibouti (OVD).
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Municipality of Boulaos, Said Abdi Elmi, senior executives of the OVD.
French side, note the presence of Colonel Bertrand, Chief Logistics Division FFDJ. This project is a joint effort in which engaged the French Development Agency (AFD), the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS), the French forces stationed in Djibouti (FFDJ) and the Office of the Highways of Djibouti (OVD).
The SEURECA-NALDEO group provided technical assistance. This is part of a broader framework as this is the implementation of solid waste management project in Djibouti.
The main objective of this project is to improve the collection service, recovery and treatment of waste Balbala district and includes, in addition to the rehabilitation of the garage area 7, the construction of collection points in Balbala, d a hardware park in Sheikh Osman and a social engineering component.
At a cost of € 6 million, or about 1.3 billion CFA francs, the project will last 36 months. The partners each bring substantial contributions to the implementation of the successive stages of the project.

For the French forces stationed in Djibouti (FFDJ), the site is part of the civil-military operations (ACM), which are projects designed or implemented by military means in favor of the civil sector.
In 2014, FFDJ thus completed eight projects including painting work for the benefit of women Balbala Association to name one example.
French forces annually invest 200,000 euros (nearly 45 million Djibouti francs) to achieve the ACM. The projects planned for 2015 are already numerous throughout the Djiboutian territory.
