Social safety nets: An evaluation meeting between ADDS and beneficiaries

 As part of the fight against child malnutrition, the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS) held on 5 January a community assessment meeting in the neighborhood of “Water tarpaulin ‘headquarters the association “FICIL” located in the town of Balbala. This social safety net project has allowed women to “water tarpaulin” to be sensitized on the case of maternal and child malnutrition first and second part of the preservation of the environment such as the collection of garbage and waste.Indeed, this awareness has allowed beneficiaries to be better informed in advance about the fight against malnutrition and consequent danger for the mother and the child in society.Furthermore this high labor intensity project (HLI) put into perspective by the ADDS, frames at the same time pregnant women and housewives who are eligible EIIP. The association “FICIL” that accompanies these women expressed his excitement about the outcome of this evaluation meeting between ADDS and pregnant and lactating women.In this sense, the president of the Municipality of Balbala Nouho Yusuf urged the beneficiaries of the neighborhood “Bache water” to mobilize other women in the neighborhood so that they participate too. This project he said brings hope to the vulnerable populations of the municipality. Thank ADDS and its director Mohamed Mahdi Djama for its support and assistance for women in the municipality of Balbala and for its support them.Mahdi Mohamed Djama said for his part that EIIP 9600 covers beneficiaries across the country. It was also a positive impact in society and in rural areas. Among the strategies that flow from this program is the fight against child malnutrition, support for pregnant women, environmental protection and cleaning of waste. Recall that this working meeting saw the participation of the Director General of ADDS Mahdi Mohamed Djama, nutrition coordinator Souleikha Mohamed, the coordinator of the project and HLI Houssein Said the president of the municipality of Balbala Youssouf Nouho.SOUBER
