Interview: The ADDS project Coordinator of the nutrition safety net : Ms. Mouna Ahmed Farah

” The lights mothers have changed their lifestyle and that of their sisters ”

Today we are gathered in the region Dikhil with ADDS and the Ministry of Health to deliver gifts to volunteers Dikhil region who shined in the field by their action mothers.

This program against malnutrition has started there six months and is intended for pregnant mothers, nursing mothers and those who have children under the age of 5 years.

It is first of awareness at the Ministry of Health for their health, the health of their children and then they give birth in the health center instead of give birth in their homes.

We opened nine centers in the region Dikhil and we trained 25 mothers. These 25 mothers were sensitized 800 others to participate in this program.

They meet once a month and we monitor the health of their children. We show how to give their children the vitamin food.

If we notice that some children are sick, contact us directly Ministry of Health gives us special assistance for children transferred.

Today , this ceremony is to reward the volunteer mothers who worked for six months on this program and showed that there are more malnourished children. These mothers have changed their lifestyle and that of their counterparts.
