Since its inception in 2008, the CPEC of Djibouti born from the desire of the Government of Djibouti to establish a national strategy for the development of microfinance, faces his noble mission to eradicate poverty among the poorest strata of the Djiboutian population including the establishment of a system of credit amount, methods for granting and specific reimbursement for those deemed insolvent clients.

Indeed, ” the bank for the poor ” as affectionately called its members had to set a new breath as some little weakened by the decline of partnerships between CPEC and credit centers that once served as intermediaries between the institution and its members.

It is precisely in the context of the National Solidarity Week sensitization sessions were held around the popular districts of the capital .

The talks held mainly on the role , the proposed products ( Solidarity Credit , the Individual Credit and Savings ) as well as the objectives of the CPEC of Djibouti , through a lively debate. The authorities have lent the game questions to make known to the market traders Riyadh, the pioneering microfinance institution in Djibouti.

Indeed responsible for the CPEC in Djibouti in turn recalled their objective is to facilitate the integration of the poor in the economic flow , so the focus has been particularly focused on the savings component products offered by the CPEC of Djibouti .

Until recently the poor were forced to keep their savings at home with all the risks that entails, unable for very obvious place in conventional banks offering costs savings unacceptably high financial reasons.

Yet here the CPEC of Djibouti , institution specially created for those excluded from the traditional banking system provides a secure savings product and available with quality, efficiency , proximity and accessibility.

Moreover, it is essential to emphasize the importance and responsibility centers credit focal point of this system straddles bank credit and informal finance and whose growth is absolutely necessary for a full success CPEC mission of Djibouti .
