When poverty reduction through the implementation of social projects
Aska, the capital of the region of Ali Sabieh, now has a bus station. This achievement adds to four other social projects materialized on a list of 16 for the Assajog region. Everything is financed by the ADB, supervised by the ADDS and implemented by the community development fund of the region through local associations. The action is part of the fight against poverty. Hence the recent visit of the Secretary of State for National Solidarity in the southern region to monitor the fulfillment of these projects on the ground.
The Secretary of State for National Solidarity Zahra Youssouf Kayad had surrendered on June 17 in the region of Ali Sabieh, on the one hand, proceed with the inauguration of the first bus station in the masterpiece place and, secondly, see firsthand the projects launched by the Djibouti Social Development Agency (ADDS) in funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and executed by local associations under the cover of development funds Community Assajog.
Namely, the region has such a fund to finance micro-projects proposed by local associations as part of the poverty reduction program. This fund is administered by a local committee chaired by the Regional Council.
Thus, surrounded by his closest associates and accompanied by Director General of the ADDS, Mr. Mahdi Mohamed Djama, the prefect of the region, Mohamed Waberi Assoweh, MP Abdi Khaireh Bouh, and the President of the Regional Council and the President of union bus -Sabieh Ali, Secretary of State for National Solidarity Zahra Youssouf Kayad has, first, conducted the official opening of the bus station in the town at the foot of Mount Python, otherwise called Mount Flag, near the tourist center Palmeraie.

Zahra Youssouf Kayad then visited the headquarters of the Regional Council where she attended the distribution of a lot of 250 blue 200 liter drums for storage and preservation of drinking water. Subsequently, the Minister has moved into the « Shipyard » area to see firsthand the realization of the electricity connection project benefiting 30 households in poor area of Ali Sabieh.
A project implemented by the Iftin association in order to improve the conditions of life and residence of these households. Then it was the turn of Barwako district to receive the visit of the Secretary of State for National Solidarity, which, locally, was able to realize the implementation of the 4 water tanks renovation project to benefit the population in this area. That is to say, for the benefit of about 1 2OO households in these places.
After a lunch break, the Secretary of State for National Solidarity Zahra Youssouf Kayad has finally given early afternoon in the rural locality of Ali Adde, where she participated in the distribution of 20 pumps intended for farming activities.
In finality, it should be noted that 16 commercial projects to the region of Ali Sabieh in the fight against poverty, 4 were already realized by the community development fund in the region through the work of local associations selected for this purpose under the supervision of ADDS and under ADB financing.
